Job Summary

The Product Consultant acts as the bridge between clients, stakeholders, and the development team. This role is responsible for gathering requirements and managing the product backlog, defining user stories, and ensuring the timely delivery of product features related to products associated with NetSuite while aligning with the overall product strategy. The Product Owner contributes to product quality, user adoption, and overall success by assisting in research, testing, and reporting, helping to bridge the gap between strategy and execution.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manages the development and delivery of assigned product features.
• Oversee and manage the development of various enhancements, taking ownership of the releases for assigned products related to NetSuite.
• Assist the Head of Product in day-to-day product management activities, ensuring projects stay on track.
• Gather, document, and prioritize product requirements from stakeholders, clients, and internal teams, and converts it into actionable tasks for the internal team
• Conduct market and competitor research to inform product decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT), quality assurance processes, and feature validation.
• Collaborate closely with developers, consultants, and other internal teams to clarify requirements and ensure accurate implementation.
• Track product metrics, analyze trends, and prepare reports for management.
• Maintain organized documentation of product features, requirements, and workflows.
• Contribute to process improvements and suggest innovative solutions to enhance product performance and customer experience.
• Act as a subject-matter expert for product features and capabilities.

 

Qualifications

• Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. NetSuite Certified is required.
• Experience
  • 1- 3 years of experience in product management, ERP consulting, or software delivery, preferably within SaaS or IT consulting environments.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful product features or modules within an Agile environment.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite is required
  • Familiarity with the SuitePayment module is a plus.
  • Experience in building custom solutions for NetSuite is required.
• Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems, workflows, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence.
  • Ability to perform basic data analysis (e.g., SQL queries, dashboards, or BI tools) to evaluate product performance and user behavior.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and cross-functional product delivery processes.
  • Technical understanding relevant to the industry (NetSuite) is required.
  • Expertise in overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and design through to development, launch, and iteration.
  • Ability to prioritize features and improvements based on business needs, user feedback, and technical constraints.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and tools like Jira to manage product backlogs and sprints.
